HOW DO GAMING MICE WORK? ARE THEY BETTER THAN NON-GAMING MICE?

A gaming mouse is one of the most important pieces of equipment you'll need before diving into the world of gaming. The question of whether these mice are better for gaming than ordinary mice, however, never goes away. Now, let's look at some of the elements that explain how a gaming mouse works. Also, how it differs from a non-gaming mouse.

1. Sensor: The most important component of a mouse is the sensor. It is required for the operation of a mouse. The sensor detects mouse movement in the mouse pad and displays it on the screen.
There are two types of sensors:

- Optical Sensor: The surface is illuminated by an LED light, which then reflects back and is read by a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor in the mouse. This setup functions similarly to a camera. The light receives thousands of pictures of the surface it moves on per second as it moves, which aids the mouse in determining the direction in which it moves. Previously, using an optical mouse on a glass-like surface was not recommended. However, as technology has progressed, so have optical mice.

- Laser Sensor: The laser sensor works similar to an optical sensor. Instead of LEDs, laser light is used. These sensors have the advantage of being able to penetrate rough and irregular surfaces fairly well.

2. DPI: The sensitivity of a mouse is measured in DPI (dots per inch). The better the mouse, the higher the rate is. The DPI numbers on gaming mice are much higher than on regular mice. This is how they're made. Gaming necessitates lifelike precision, and gaming mouse manufacturers ensure that players receive it.

3. Build: Gaming mice are designed with the needs of gamers in mind. They are attractive, durable, and comfortable. The players get a ‘gaming feel' from the flashy lights and aesthetic design. The manufacturers never compromise the comfort of the players' wrists because they use the mouse for long periods of time.

Gaming mice are also required to be able to handle the aggression of the players. As a result, these mice are more durable than normal mice.
